About the artist

The life of artist Anne Marie Blaupot ten Cate (1902–2002) was marked by constant restlessness, a thirst for adventure, and fleeting relationships with men whom she could leave in despair.
Impetuous, independent. With two suitcases full of painting supplies, she traveled the world, living in Paris, Morocco, the Dutch East Indies, Switzerland, and the South of France. Always on the move. Hanneke Boonstra follows her closely and takes the reader on a journey into the impetuous life of Anne Marie Blaupot ten Cate.
